Meet the Book Club Bullies

But we only mock NYT bestsellers, so it’s really like we are standing up to that handsome, lacrosse stick-toting asshole from your high school, alright? Cool bullies. COOL BULLIES.

  • Sarah Burton is a producer, writer, and a comedian who has spent 1000+ hours googling important questions like, “What’s that lump in my armpit?” and “Baby screams 3am can I make it stop?”

Currently Sarah writes for various gaming-related Amazon game shows. Her past credits include creating videos for BuzzFeed’s YouTube channel — doing anything from eating her own placenta to teaching her dog to play basketball to walking around New York City in a giant bubble; co-hosting ICYMI, Huffpost’s weekly pop culture news show; and writing for long-running UCB show Everyone’s Favorite Game Show. She is also the former host of a successful monthly comedy show about misdiagnosis and hypochondria called I'm A Doctor Now! Sarah hopes her neuroses will not be passed on to either of her two sons.

  • Sabrina B. Jordan is a writer and editor who knows you love to love her.  She lives in Brooklyn with her wife and two cats. When she isn't hosting the pod or writing her soon-to-be-New-York-Times-Best-Selling novel, she is making her list and checking it twice (IYKYK).

Is the end too Santa-forward? I like it.

There, she performed on multiple house and Harold teams, taught classes, and directed sketch and longform improv.

Now working in television, Johnna has been a writer for the long-running cable and streaming comedy Impractical Jokers, since 2020. She’s also produced episodes of Marvel’s “Recap” series and contributed writing to CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, Above Average, Reductress, and Brooklyn’s BRICTV. Her film and TV credits include starring as “Finn” in A Chick Called Wanda and playing “Johnna” on seasons 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Impractical Jokers. Bookworms with a bite.

Mean Book Club is four ladies (UCB, BuzzFeed, College Humor, Impractical Jokers) who read, discuss and whine about NYT bestselling books that have questionable literary merit. It's fun. It's cathartic. It's perfect for your commute. New podcast (almost) every Tuesday!
